FEBS junior initiative
Wednesday, 25 August 2021 10:22
To bring together young scientists from all over Europe, the junior sections of the ÖGMBT (Austria), SIB (Italy), SEBBM (Spain) and GBM (Germany) have collaborated with FEBS to establish a platform for exchange within the FEBS Network. For this, FEBS has created an open Room for the Junior Sections of FEBS Constituent Societies. All young members from the FEBS societies are welcome to sign up to the FEBS Network and become a member of the room using the following link to connect, share events and start discussions: https://network.febs.org/rooms/junior-sections-of-febs-societies
In the future, our initiative aims at organizing events, such as lectures with key figures and researchers in Europe, as well as scientific and career sessions to provide insights to Europe’s leading research institutes. In general, we want to open doors for young European scientists to opportunities outside their home countries by providing the relevant contacts and thus fostering the communication within the network. Most importantly though, this emerging platform is still very dynamic and lives on the ideas that you are all welcome to contribute.
Infos on our first joint events are in the comments section!
Please feel free to share these news!
Job Profiles

About Job Profiles in Life Sciences
Young life scientists and young professionals are often not aware of all the job possibilities “out there in the field” and job titles certainly are not self-explanatory.
With this initiative ÖGMBT-YLSA strives to present various job options in life sciences, biotechnology and in the pharmaceutical industry.
Each job profile covers four main points: Education, Experience and Soft Skills required for the job and a description of Key Responsibilities. For some job profiles we also included a summary, which gives the gist of the position. We hope that these job profiles will assist in unravelling the secrets behind job titles and help you find the job that interests you!
