Vision
Life Sciences are a vibrant field. There are very talented and qualified people in life sciences and many challenging jobs in academia / industry / institutions. As ÖGMBT, the platform for life science professionals in Austria, we are already active in “matching” talents and jobs.
It is time to take matchmaking further - as a platform for job-seekers and potential employers to meet the LIFE SCIENCE CAREER FAIR is the first career fair for employers and employees from all over Austria. Finally an own career fair for the Life Science field in Austria! 
In addition to the career fair, a program full of inspiring presentations, workshops by employers and workshops on career planning will show attendees the variety of career opportunities in academia / industry / institutions available and help to envision personal career goals.
The Career Fair is organized as an autonomous pre-event to the ÖGMBT Annual Meeting, the melting pot of life sciences in Austria and will rotate from year to year with the Annual Meeting to Salzburg, Graz, Innsbruck and Vienna.
In the late afternoon, there will be a smooth transition from the career fair to the scientific conference. The highlight of both events will be the party in the evening, where all participants and exhibitors are invited to celebrate and network.

Who should attend?
Whether you are an intern, a BSc/MSc or dissertation student, a newcomer to the job market or a career changer - the LIFE SCIENCE CAREER FAIR will be open for life scientists at any level. Currently looking for a job, thinking about making PhD or not or just curious about what is offered on the job market? The LIFE SCIENCE CAREER FAIR is the right place to be!
Submit your CV, update your LinkedIn profile = be found by employers
Every registered participant is invited to submit a CV to the online TALENT POOL. Starting with September 1, all exhibitors will get access to the TALENT POOL and screen the submitted CVs for potential candidates. Employers may contact you and arrange an interview during the LIFE SCIENCE CAREER FAIR for a particular job offer or to give you feedback on your CV. So, prepare your CV in time! We also highly recommend the creation or updating of your LinkedIn profile, as this platform is the treasure trove for recruiters.

Everyone is welcome with free registration. ÖGMBT memberhsip is not required for participation at the career fair, but beneficial for some additional services (CV check,..) or program parts (reserved member contingencies for workshops). It is never too late to become a member. Look here for further benefits and sign-up directly. 
Improve your skills & boost your network
In addition to professional and soft skills, a solid network is also important for successful career development. Directly after the career fair, the 14th ÖGMBT Annual Meeting, the melting pot of life sciences in Austria is taking place. After the opening the bestowal of the Life Science Awards Austria 22 will take place, with lectures by the winners. This day will be rounded up by a party, a great opportunity to network with all participants. All registered participants of the LIFE SCIENCE CAREER FAIR are invited to stay until the party.
Three and a half days (September 19-22) of scientific meeting, with topics across all specialties of Life Sciences, so that everyone finds something of interest. Invited plenary speakers will share state-of-the-art research and young scientists will be presenting their work in short talks and posters. So stay longer for this scientific get together! EXTRA REGISTRATION FOR THE ÖGMBT ANNUAL MEETING (the part starting from Sept 20) IS NECESSARY.
