ÖGMBT thanks all exhibitors, visitors and sponsors for their participation and support!
5 Career Workshops - 15 Exhibitors - 630 participants - 440 CVs within the Talent Pool –
Networking – Employer Pitches – CV Check – Job Profiles – Job Board
The Life Sciences Career Fair 2026 (LSCF26), which took place on May 13, 2026, at the premises of the Hochschule Campus Wien (Favoritenstraße 226, 1100 Vienna), was an outstanding success. LSCF26 enabled jobseekers and potential employers to meet and to network. In a time where linkedIn and digital recruiting tools play an increasingly dominant role in hiring, the power of human connection is more important than ever. A face-to-face career fair offers an irreplaceable chance to engage in meaningful conversations, ask direct questions and experience the energy and culture of a potential employer.
The fair attracted a diverse target group composed of students at any levels and young professionals with wide ranged career experinces. The visitors arrived not only from Vienna and surroundings, but also from all other Austrian federal states and 35 even from abroad. Students and young professionals received a representative overview of careers offered by the Austrian job market in the life sciences field. Young professionals had the chance to get in contact with a variety of potentials employers from academia and research institutions, from start-ups and SMEs to global corporates and further organisations supporting life sciences scientists.
The supporting program offered interesting CAREER WORKSHOPS and EMPLOYER PRESENTATIONS to envision personal career goals and inspiring presentations showcasing different career opportunities. Moreover, several recruiting tools facilitated the matchmaking of jobseekers with employers looking for skilled personal. Within the framework of EMPLOYERS' Pitches, the exhibitors introduced themselves as potential employers. The TALENT POOL gave the exhibitors access to over 436 CVs uploaded by the visitors with filter options enabling recruiting before and after the fair. In addition, individual CV checks & feedback were offered by several exhibitors, the workshop leaders and two of our board members. Participants also had the opportunity to have professional photos taken for their resumes by the photographer Philipp Schuster in the RESUME FOTO CORNER. Everything that serves the next step in the career was there.
The event was organized with the partners acib, Hochschule Campus Wien, LISA and Chemie Report. Only through the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism (BMWET) the event could be realized. We even had 2 start-ups among our exhibitors. With great appreciation we would like to thank all partners and supporters.
The feedback from students, life scientists, research institutions and companies was incredibly positive. Dozens of employments were mediated thanks to this year’s career fair. The large attendance prove the need in Austria for such an event to connect life sciences with the job market.
The LSCF is THE career fair for the whole life sciences sector in Austria, from academia to industry, that was launched to stay as annual fix point for the community.
