Congratulations, if you are invited to the forthcoming interviews in Brussels, you have already made a big step advancing your research with these prestigious grants by the ERC. The interview however poses a very specific challenge and our specific workshop was designed to complement the training provided by the NCP (FFG). We focus on developing with you an instructive narrative based on your proposal for the presentation in Brussels. We help you to select convincing elements for an effective framing and work on your personal profile as leader in the field. Our aim is to enable you to convince in Brussels with a confident performance by an excellent scientist with an outstanding project idea.

ERC grant proposals pose a specific challenge to applicants. Competition continues to be extremely high and a successful proposal therefore requires a substantial investment of time and effort to become competitive, clearly outlining an ambitious and inspiring research plan. To support our customers we have developed a very specific workshop to prepare applicants for the interview in Brussels based on our science-centred approach. The inspiration for our unique traing was to interpret the term “scientific excellence” in a way we distilled from our interaction with our customers. Building on your individual strength we will develop a personal strategy how to present yourself in front of the panel within the intense time constraints, including the Q&A session as an important part of your presentation.
