5th International Workshop on Prokaryotic Genomics & Bioinformatics

On behalf of the Northern German Center of Microbial Genomics (NZMG) we are pleased to announce the 5th International Workshop on Prokaryotic Genomics & Bioinformatics in Göttingen. The workshop will take place from 18 - 21 July 2017 at the Göttingen Genomics Laboratory (G2L) which is part of the Department of Genomic and Applied Microbiology of the Georg-August University Göttingen/Germany.

The four-day course provides an introduction to the methods and tools used in functional (meta)genome analysis. The major topics that will be covered include sequencing technologies, genome annotation, comparative genomics, RNA-Seq as well as metagenomics/metatranscriptomics. The course combines theoretical lessons with computer exercises using state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools. The Göttingen tutorial team will be supported by excellent external lecturers. The course is designed for advanced graduate students and postdoctoral scholars with strong interests in the above mentioned topics. Please find more information in our flyer. The application deadline is May 10, 2017.
