Disease caused by infectious agents imposes a major burden on human health and society, and understanding the disparate mechanisms of such pathogenesis is a central goal of many fields of biomedical research. This course provides an overview of the wide-range of fundamental and translational research aimed at elucidating key principles of pathogenesis arising from microorganisms and at devising novel techniques to manage it.
