SUMMARY:9th EFB Conference on Physiology of Yeasts and Filamentous Fungi
LOCATION:Caixa Froum, Valencia, Spain
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:<p style="text-align: justify; font-family: 'Montserrat', sans-serif; color
 : #222; line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.2rem;">	The <strong>Conference on Ph
ysiology of Yeasts and Filamentous Fungi (PYFF)</strong> is a premier inter
national scientific event held every three years since its inception in 200
1 in Copenhagen. Its primary goal is to bring together researchers from aca
demia and industry who are engaged in the study of the physiology, metaboli
sm, and genetics of yeasts and filamentous fungi, as well as their biotechn
 ological applications.</p><p style="text-align: justify; font-family: 'Mont
 serrat', sans-serif; color: #222; line-height: 1.6; font-size: 1.2rem;">	Th
e conference features presentations on a wide range of yeast and filamentou
s fungal species, providing a platform to share the latest scientific advan
ces and promote interdisciplinary collaborations. <strong>PYFF</strong> is
sponsored by the <strong>Microbial Biotechnology Division</strong> of the <

 technology (EFB)</a>, a non-profit federation of biotechnology companies, a
cademic institutions, and independent professionals.</p><p style="text-alig

take place in Valencia, Spain. It will be primarily organized by members o
f the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA), part of the Sp
anish National Research Council (CSIC). The main PYFF9 topics will cover re
search and innovation in evolution and adaptation; mechanisms of fungal pat
hogenesis; synthetic biology and systems biology; applications of fungi and
yeasts in food and beverage fermentations; cell factories; application to
the circular economy and sustainable production; and emerging tools and tec
hnologies in the transformation of fungal biotechnology common to both yeas
 ts and filamentous fungi.</p><p style="text-align: justify; font-family: 'M
