THE JOB

 

The role

We are seeking a dedicated RNA Consultant to help customers (scientists) finding the best technical solution to perform their experiments or to solve their issues. The Consultant will contact potential customers (prospects) by phone, videoconference or other social media, and must understand their needs and propose Lexogen solutions to fulfil these needs and help the customers achieving their goals. The candidate may organize some webinars and make some ad-hoc presentations to the customers. She/He will also provide after-sales support to his/her customers. Through these activities, the Consultant will maintain and develop strong relationships with customers, procurement officers, key opinion leaders and other stakeholders. The candidate will be part of the Commercial Operations team, will report to the Head of Sales Europe and will work closely with other functions within the company including primarily the Technical Support, the Marketing and the Services teams.

 

The responsibilities

  • Pre-sales activities
  • Organize webinars and talks for the customers in the territory.
  • Prospect and generate leads via phone, e-mail, social media…
  • Prepare customer presentations.
  • Consultative selling activities
  • Use both product and application knowledge to guide customers to products that best meet their needs and goals, coordinate with global team to address customer questions/concerns, create and submit individualized quotes, and close deals.
  • Master consulting and sales processes (e.g. forecasting, pipeline management, prospecting).
  • Post-sales activities
  • Follow-up customer demands
  • Support technical implementation of our solutions with some customers.
  • Maintain strong, positive, and productive relationships with clients including product end-users, management, and purchasing contacts.
  • Work collaboratively with the global sales team as well as R&D, Technical and Customer Support, Marketing…
  • Participate to some events (congresses, workshop, ad-hoc events…)
  • Maintain a high scientific and technical knowledge

The territory

  • Diverse States according to your location.
  • The candidate will be part of the Commercial Operations team and will be home-based in any US state (preferably close to an airport hub).

 

The job requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel to some events, up to 10 - 20%
  • Location: any US state but ideally in CA, WA, MN, TX or MO

 

YOU

Your experience and know-how

  • RNA biology research (mandatory)
  • NGS with emphasis on RNA-Seq (if possible)
  • Inside sales experience is a plus

The compensation
