Position:

The Bucher Lab headed by Marcel Bucher is looking for a postdoctoral researcher who would like to investigate the spatiotemporal dynamics in the development of arbuscular mycorrhiza (AM) and the underlying regulatory mechanisms at the molecular level. This is a DFG-funded project with a research focus on transcriptional regulators, their interaction and the functional significance of their target genes in the AM symbiosis. We are based at the Cologne Biocenter, a modern integrative research and teaching facility for life sciences at the University of Cologne, which offers an excellent research infrastructure in an international environment and includes the Clusters of Excellence CEPLAS and CECAD. Requirements:

The ideal candidate holds a degree in biology or in a related field, has an "I can do it" attitude with a good background in “wetlab biology”. Experience in ChIPseq, RNAseq, and protein-protein interactions, scientific writing and German language is a plus.
