Field: Molecular biology, virology, vaccine development
We a looking for a motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow who is interested in developing a measles-virus based broad-spectrum Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, in collaboration with Michael Mühlebach at the Paul-Ehrlich Institute in Germany. In addition, we are interested in the patho-biology and early events of human HPV infection. The experimental strategies used include molecular, cell biology and immunological tools, gene-transduction, ultracentrifugation, high-resolution microscopy, bio-imaging and mouse genetic tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A PhD degree (or equivalent) in life sciences with an excellent productivity record
• Track record in molecular and/or cellular biology or immunology
• Experience in working with mouse models and/or viruses would be advantageous
• Strong motivation to engage in the project and to work independently
• Complete immunizations including COVID-19 and seasonal influenza
OUR OFFER
Being part of an Austrian Science Fund (FWF) research project in an international research group that develops an experimental broad-spectrum HPV vaccine to combat cervical and other HPV-induced cancers, at the Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Vienna, Austria, embedded in a stimulating interdisciplinary research environment with access to state-of-the-art technology.
SALARY and APPOINTMENT DURATION
The monthly gross salary will be in accordance with the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) rates: (https://www.fwf.ac.at/en/research-funding/personnel-costs/) (gross 3.945,90; 14x).
The postdoctoral fellow position is for 3 years with a possibility to extend for additional 12 months.
