Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated (Senior) Lab Technician with experience in cell culture and the analysis of immune responses to join our team. The focus of the Translational Research Department will be to develop and perform critical immune monitoring assays with clinical specimen for mechanistic characterization of novel therapies and assessment of target engagement.

Main Responsibilities:

• Working with infectious substances under BSL-2 conditions
• Support and perform immunological techniques including multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISpot, cytokine assay and other immunoassays
• Purification and characterization of PBMCs
• Maintaining primary cells and cell lines
• Human and animal tissue preparation and processing
• Accurate and legible documentation and records of experiments according to Quality standards
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment and material stocks
• Ability to work on weekends and statutory holidays if necessary

Qualifications:

• MTA, BTA, Dipl. Ing. (FH), B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent in relevant field (e.g. Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Biotechnology)
• Experience with cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, immunological assays and human PBMC culture would be an advantage
• Independent, efficient, and proactive workstyle
• Well organized, detail-oriented, hands-on mentality, and solution-oriented
• Motivated, flexible, team player with the ability to work under time pressure
• Eager to learn and develop new techniques
• Fluent in English

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary from EUR 2.487,- (Lab Technician) to EUR 2.797,-- (Sr. Lab Technician) based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
