Position Summary:

The position’s purpose is to work within Quality Control, on the routine tasks of organizing and managing test orders as well as corresponding shipments with a focus on Gilead projects. Especially the organization of the sample management, which includes communication with the CMOs/CLOs via email and by logging into the respective sample management systems of the suppliers. The incumbent will be part of the Quality team and will receive a detailed education in Quality Systems applied at HOOKIPA.

The Specialist Quality Control mainly focuses on Quality Systems according to the ICH/EU/AMBO requirements. In particular, the aim is to keep abreast with most recent requirements and driving the implementation of appropriate measures relative to these requirements is the scope. The incumbent owns also specific systems, trains this SOPs and self-inspects the day-to-day practice resulting in continuous improvement of these systems.

Main Responsibilities:

• Creation of QC relevant documents for release testing (Testing process Descriptions, Specification, Sampling Plan, CoA)
• Management of sample logistic (distribution, shipments, receipt, inventory)
• Support test results management (controlled income, input in data system and test record review)
• Contribute to evaluation of test results and follow-up of corresponding OOS events
• Maintain test results, inventory data base and review tracking lists
• Generate result overviews to provide cross-functional updates
• Support QA for SOP ownership and SOP review
• Ownership of specific QC system to drive continuous improvement of process and corresponding documents

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education in technical and natural / life science (HTL, MTA, university or FH up to BSc or MSc)
• Experience in the field of QC or QA
• First experience (at least 1 year) in pharmaceutical industry
• Accurate, proactive and problem-solving behavior
• Competence in Microsoft Office Tools
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary for this position is EUR 2.487,- based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
