HOOKIPA Pharma Inc. is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing a new class of immunotherapeutics, targeting infectious diseases and cancers based on its proprietary arenavirus platform that is designed to reprogram the body’s immune system.

Position Summary:

The purpose of the position is to ensure the smooth operation of our laboratories and to support our laboratory technicians in their daily work in the best possible way. As part of the Lab Support Team your main task is the support of the daily operations of our lab facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lab supply management:
  • Order and storage of chemistries and gases
  • Order, store and maintain the safety equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Waste management: arrange the chemical and hazardous waste disposal
• Safety maintenance: maintain pH calibrations, gas sensors and alarms
• Be responsible for deliveries and the warehouse in general
• Responsible for general lab consumables, ordering and finishing
• Prepare needed equipment & media: glassware, reaction tubes; wash and autoclave it
• Installation, rework and cleaning of the general lab facilities:
  • Laminars, Incubators, Zentrifuges
  • DI-Water, chemical drains
  • Liquid nitrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, CO2

Qualifications & Skills:

• Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician or similar (HTL or vocational school would be an advantage)
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
• Kind of technical sense
• Experience in chemical laboratories and/or clean rooms
• Familiar with MS-Windows, MS-Office and SAP

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary for this position is EUR 2.299,- based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
