Motivation and Goals of this Position

We are looking for a motivated Post Doc researcher for our industrial and applied basic science projects. You will develop new concepts for experimental planning, for monitoring with hard and soft sensors, for scale down systems, for hybrid modelling and multivariate control of bioprocesses. Thereby, we target mammalian and microbial processes equally.
You will team lead a small group of PhD and master students, coordinate research tasks with industrial partners and also participate in active lab work. The research activities will be, to a small extent, accompanied by teaching in the bachelor and master curriculum of biochemical engineering.

Requirements

PhD in Bioprocess Technology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, or similar. You should have experience in:

Sound knowledge in fermentation technology and laboratory analytics, e.g. HPLC
• Expertise in handling large data sets using advanced data science approaches / statistics • Experience in Process Analytical Technology and real time process architecture
• Data driven and mechanistic modelling including systems biology
• Analytical techniques (Chromatography, Spectroscopy, MS, etc.)

A superior command of English and a sound track record in knowledge dissemination via scientific publications is required. Furthermore, you should be accustomed to networked and critical thinking, scientifically interested and able to work in a team respecting tight project timelines.

The monthly minimum salary is currently € 3.626,- (14x per year).before tax. Applicants have no claim for reimbursement of travel costs arising from the recording process.
