Glycobiology Gordon Conference
The 20th biennial Glycobiology Gordon Conference will be held March 19 – 24, 2017 in Ventura Beach, CA at the Ventura Beach Marriott.
The Conference title is “Glycan Function and Structure from Nucleus to Niche” (Michael Tiemeyer, Chair and Rita Gerardy-Schahn, Vice-Chair). The latest developments in a broad range of cutting-edge topics in Gycobiology will be covered, including:
Interdisciplinary Glycobiology (Keynote session)
Glycans in Niche Communities
Glycans and Innate Immunity
Glycosylation and Signaling
Glycobiology of the HIV virus
Evolutionary and Developmental Glycobiology
Leveraging Glycoscience for Developing Therapeutics
Cellular and Molecular Pathways for Glycoprotein Trafficking
Glycobiology of Microbes and Parasites
Structural Biology of Glycogene Products
Omics and Informatics
Pathobiochemistry of Glycosylation Diseases
Glycobiology of Neural Function and Disease
In addition to the already confirmed speakers, GRC short talks will be selected from among the abstracts submitted by the deadline (February 19, 2017).
The Glycobiology GRC will be immediately preceded by the 3rd biennial Glycobiology Gordon Research Seminar to be held March 18-19, 2017 at the same venue. The GRS is a mentored meeting for graduate students and post-docs and the title of the GRS is “Glycan Function and Structure in Development, Disease, and Host-Pathogen/Symbiont Interactions” (Mindy Porterfield, Chair). Participants will be selected from applications received by the deadline (February 18, 2017).
