The position is opened for a skilled bioinformatician who has experience in sequence analysis, preferably in the field of palaeogenomics, and can contribute significantly to the development of new computational tools, and the analyses of paleogenomic data.

Pinhasi’s team focuses on the paleogenomics of human populations across the globe, metagenomic analysis of ancient DNA from dental calculus, soil and other environmental sources, selection of morphometric traits and other phenotypes, and the optimisation of ancient DNA methods. His team was the first to develop the petrous optimisation method, and is focusing on ancinet DNA optimisation experiments. The team is working closely with leading paleogeneticists, population geneticists, archaeologists and physcial anthropologists from universities and museums across the world.
