A PhD student position is available in the group of Ines Swoboda at the Molecular Biotechnology Section, FH Campus Wien, Campus Vienna Biocenter, Austria. The student will work on a project in the field of Allergy Research that investigates allergic reactions to indoor moulds. Aim of the project is to identify and characterize novel allergens present in indoor moulds. This research will lead to an improved and more specific diagnosis of fungal allergy.
For these studies a broad spectrum of immunological, molecular biological, biochemical and microbiological techniques will be applied.

The project will start in October 2016 and will last for three years. Conditions and salary are according to FWF rules.

Requirements:
• Master/Diploma degree in “Molecular Biology”, “Genetics”, “Microbiology” or “Molecular Biotechnology”
• Knowledge in methods of immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry and microbiology
• Enthusiasm for scientific research
• Excellent command of English
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently
