A master’s thesis position is offered in the group of Christian Radauer at the Department of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research, Medical University of Vienna. The topic of the project is the characterization of the IgE and IgG epitope repertoire of the major birch pollen allergen, Bet v 1. The work involves a wide range of methods such as expression and purification of recombinant proteins, their physico-chemical characterization and the determination of their immunological properties such as binding of IgG and IgE antibodies from allergic donors.

We are looking for a motivated student with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field of life sciences. The successful applicant should have a strong interest in protein biochemistry and immunology and good skills of English.

We are offering a position in an international team at a department with an international reputation in the field of allergy research. The work will be remunerated by an FWF research scholarship.
